Rochester Regional Health a large integrated health system in Rochester, NY is inviting applicants for the role of System Chief of Gastroenterology. The System Chief is responsible for the strategic visualization and leadership of all operations for the Division of Gastroenterology.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership and a track record of excellence in patient care, teaching and development. Top candidates should be strong mentors to new and existing staff members and have the ability to champion excellence in achieving clinical quality outcomes in a division reaching over 34,000 cases per year (includes inpatient, office based and endoscopy).
Reporting to the System Medicine and Surgery Senior Vice president, the System Chief will serve as the department’s administrative leader providing direction in operational financial performance, recruitment, strategic planning, retention and oversight.
With a network of 17 physicians, eight endoscopy locations, and five hospitals spanning over six counties, the Division of Gastroenterology at Rochester Regional Health has a strong reputation of achievement and excellence in patient care. The Department’s clinical staff consists of individuals with strong expertise in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy, Women’s Health, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hepatology and General Gastroenterology
QUALIFICATIONS: Rochester Regional Health seeks an accomplished clinician with an M.D. from an accredited medical school, current board certification in gastroenterology, eligible for licensure in New York State. Candidates must have experience in developing and leading clinical programs, a record of effective administrative experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated commitment to promoting a collaborative integrated environment.
