The primary role of this position is to assist with the nursing care of patients in the OR by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards of practice and policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Serves in the scrub role; as well as, sterile processing tech, housekeeper, OR materials coordinator, anesthesia tech, GI lab tech, and patient transporter. Other duties include stocking, replenishing, preparing and/or selecting supplies and equipment for use during the surgical procedure or for storage. Functions to maintain sterile technique and cleanliness in the Operating Room in order to ensure a safe patient environment.
