Fairview Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center is a partnership with University of MN Physicians where you will find more than 20 medical specialties in one convenient location. Our patients have access to primary and specialty care for pediatrics and adults which also includes a cancer center, breast center and the ambulatory surgery center. We have 4 Endoscopy Procedure rooms.
We are looking for an Endoscopy Technician (Patient care/Room turnover/Instrumentation) to support our growing Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Maple Grove, MN. This is a .8 FTE or 64 hours in two weeks position and is fully benefit eligible.
GREAT SCHEDULE as The Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently open Monday- Friday between the hours of 0700am and 400pm.
The Endoscopy Technician is an integral part of the GI team within the Endoscopy department who under the guidance and direction of the nursing team accomplishes a variety of delegated tasks such as room turnover, equipment and supply set-up, cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and scopes, exam room prep and clean-up including the documentation of cleaning and disinfection processes. They will complete direct patient care duties to ensure optimal patient outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.
Ability to complete the SGNA GI Associate’s program to become a GI Technical Specialist (GTS) within one year of employment.
1 year experience working in endoscopy or gastroenterology
AHA BLS for healthcare providers
Graduate of an accredited: Surgical Tech, or Endoscopy Tech or Instrument Tech Program
Specialized training or education in gastroenterology.
