Medical Instrument Technician (Gastroenterology) - PRN
The PRN/Intermittent Medical Instrument Technician (MIT) is a member of the GI Endoscopy Team and provides assistance to the Physician, Registered Nurse, and other team members during diagnostic endoscopy examinations or medical treatment procedures as part of the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Medical Instrument Technician performs pre-cleaning and maintenance of gastroscopes, colonoscopes, bronchoscopes and related equipment. In addition, they perform technical and clinical patient care assistance during endoscopic procedures under the guidance of an RN or MD. The MIT sets up, cleans, and ensures proper performance of the endoscopic equipment; prepares the procedure rooms for turn-over, and adheres to universal precautions and SOPs. The GI MIT d
