Medical Instrument Technician-Gastroenterology (GI)
The primary purpose of the Medical Instrument Technician, Gastroenterology (GI) position is to assist staff in the GI/Bronch clinic, Ambulatory Medical Care Line, with routine, complex and specialized procedures to include: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, placement of Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy Tube, Hemorrhoidectomy, Biopsy/Banding, Electrocardiography, and Transesophageal Echocardiography as a member of the direct patient care team.
