Phoenix Children’s Hospital is looking for a RN who has dynamic IV skills! We are looking for someone who will provide ACTH injections and coordinate care for our special children who have thyroid issues, and/or grow hormone imbalance, administering the testing, and the infusions to help them overcome these obstacles. This position is so unique, that it will require 6 - 8 weeks of training, which will be M - F. As PCH expands in the valley, this position will also provide coverage for our kids in the east valley, at our new Mercy Gilbert Hospital. There may be an option to work 4 x 10 hour days, once the ideal candidate is up to speed, fully trained and can competently administer the testing and treatments. Is this YOU? This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
