 SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Responsible for providing direct Licensed Practical Nursing care within LPN scope of practice, first assist, and technical support to providers, during endoscopy procedures in the OR, ED, ICU/IMCU and Out-patient settings. Responsible for providing a clean, safe patient care environment, setting up and tearing down of equipment/instrumentation, trouble shooting and anticipating the needs of the endoscopist/team. Also responsible for processing and infection control surveillance of multi-use equipment/endoscopes. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing School with current licensure to practice in Pennsylvania or licensure eligibility required

1 year of LPN experience required

BLS Certification required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: 

Strong knowledge of instruments, equipment & supplies required

Strong interpersonal and effective listening skills required 

Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Previous Gastrointestinal/Endoscopy experience preferred

ACLS certification preferred
