Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Bariatric Service at Overlook Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be joining a growing and well-established group with dedicated and specialty-trained bariatric surgery health care team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, technicians, and facilitators.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with laparoscopic foregut surgery as well as other laparoscopic abdominal procedures. In addition, the physician assistant will have the opportunity to work in a one-of-a-kind supportive practice environment that emphasizes quality patient care, research, and education.
Overlook Medical Center is the recipient of the Bariatric Surgery Excellence Award and is a Five-Star Recipient for Overall Bariatric Surgery by Healthgrades. It ranks among the top 5% of hospitals evaluated for bariatric surgery. We are also accredited as a Comprehensive Center for Adult and Adolescent Bariatric Surgery by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. This is a joint accreditation program between the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Bachelors & Master's degree required
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
ACLS and BLS required
Minimum of 1 year OR experience required
Trained and proficient in EPIC EMR preferred
Must have excellent communication and computer skills
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
