Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

ProPath is a nationwide, physician led, established and successful anatomic and clinical pathology group and member of Sonic Healthcare USA. The culture of medical leadership is the foundation for all that we do and the secret of our success over the last 55-plus years. The ProPath practice alone has over 50 physicians and nearly 550 team members while Sonic Healthcare USA has over 300 physicians and nearly 8,000 team members. This is the largest physician led pathology practice in the country.

Requirements: Fellowship training in gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology is required. Candidates must possess a medical degree and be able to obtain a license to practice medicine in the State of Texas. Additional subspecialty training in other areas and/or experience signing out gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology is a bonus. Qualified candidates ideally should be able to perform general surgical pathology in addition to the gastrointestinal/hepatic subspecialty. Beyond superior diagnostic skills, in order to fit with the ProPath culture, successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, a pleasant personality, and a strong work ethic centered around being a team player.
