The Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition, Department of Medicine, University of Washington is accepting applications for a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor (without tenure due to funding). Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. This position will focus on translational, and/or clinical research in the areas of diabetes and diabetes complications. This position will also involve both outpatient and inpatient clinical care, with a focus on outpatient diabetes management, teaching, and scholarly activities in the areas of diabetes and endocrinology.
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The new hire will also contribute to clinical teaching through resident and fellow education, and provide clinical service in the Endocrinology clinic and/or inpatient consultation service. This position has an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30].
The base salary range for this position will be: $16,000 - $20,000 per month ($192,000 - $240,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
