Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assist with patient and family education and communication with patient's health care team.
The role is responsible to provide intake, height/weight and vital signs prior to the patient's appointment or telehealth appointment. The medical assistant is also responsible for obtaining medical records prior and after the patient's appointment as needed. External labs are also entered into EPIC by the medical assistant. The medical assistant is also responsible for administering vaccines as instructed by the Charge RN. This occurs 1-2 times per week based upon patient needs. The medical assistant assists with medical procedures such as hemorrhoid banding and gastrointestinal tube change-out. The medical assistant is responsible for cleaning and stocking/restocking rooms. The medical assistant is responsible for setting up the room schedule for providers. The clinic has 6 rooms with a maximum of 4 providers in each session. The clinic is a 5 day/week GI Clinic.

This clinic is open Monday - Friday; Days. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experiences:
-Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) highly desired
-6 months - 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or the equivalent is preferred
-Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient setting highly desired
