Inpatient Gastroenterologist

With increasing volume, demand and industry shifts, UVA Community Health Medical Group is expanding our Gastroenterology Hospitalist program to partner in serving patients and physicians in the community. UVA CH has a highly engaged executive team invested in the community and providing high-quality care in a community based setting. We are committed to partnering to establish the optimal patient-provider experience and our growing medical group has strong backing from our academic medical center.

Opportunity is for full time, inpatient coverage only at this time. Schedule is 7on/7off with predictable call rotation. Provider is responsible for consultation to patients at our two community hospitals - Prince William Medical Center (170 beds) and Haymarket Medical Center (70 beds) in addition to performing inpatient GI procedures. Both hospitals have a robust Endoscopy Suite available and strong support of Hospital Based Medicine Physicians, ICU, ED and administrative staff. There is support for both ERCP and EUS on site. Successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate and be involved in grand rounds and other CME sponsored activities with the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology as well as the Department of Medicine at the University of Virginia Health System.
