DescriptionThe Per Diem RN for the Endoscopy Medical Procedure Units is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the nursing process and other input from healthcare team members. The Per Diem RN must be able to travel another UCLA facility to assist with coverage when needed. Performs clinical nursing duties that includes but not limited to assisting physicians in performing procedures in endoscopy area, GI lab, administering medications and, monitoring vital signs and medications, and provide health education, procedure instruction/information to patients and families.
