DescriptionSummary:Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/licensed Nurse, this position will assist with routine and repetitive patient care activities in a nursing unit. This position also performs specific clerical, organizational, and patient-focused activities. The patient-focused tasks will be supportive in nature.The Medical Surgical Gastro is a Med/Surg unit with a focus on GI. Many of our patients have non-surgical abdominal pain, cirrhosis, hepatitis, non-surgical bowel obstructions, intractable nausea and vomiting, cholelithiasis, acute pancreatitis, diarrhea, ulcerative colitis, Crohn?s disease, diverticulitis, and upper and lower GI bleeds.
