Gastroenterology Opportunities in Virginia- Carilion Clinic

Opportunities available for BC/BE Gastroenterologist in Roanoke and Christiansburg, Virginia. Hospital-employed positions.   Advanced procedure skills including ERCP and EUS would be a plus, but not required. 

Carilion Clinic is an award-winning, community-based network of seven hospital, 220 + primary and specialty physician practices, and is affiliated with the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. The service area is geographically large, with over a million patients in the primary service area.   

The Division has office locations in Roanoke and Christiansburg. The Christiansburg practice models private practice and includes an office-based endoscopy unit; four faculty are based in Christiansburg. The Roanoke practice models academia and includes eleven faculty. The Division has core strengths in Colorectal Cancer Screening, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hepatology and Interventional Endoscopy. This is the largest referral practice in western Virginia for Interventional and IBD and the only practice with dedicated Hepatology.

There are exciting opportunities to explore collaborative research with the Virginia Tech faculty at both the Riverside and the main Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg. As a member of the Gastroenterology faculty at Carilion Clinic, you will have the opportunity to apply for an appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
